LIGHT:

The purpose of this project was to design a place of worship for prayer of all religions as well as meditation.  The design of the building relies heavily on the use of natural light to be dispersed into each chapel without using direct sunlight.

Narrative

The most important part of this chapel is the main sanctuary.  It must take in light from all directions at all times of the day.  The two smaller chapels must take in natural light in either the morning or evening.  These are all connected by a lobby.

Light Mechanism Sections

I made sure the main chapel can collect light from all sides using the front curved wall along with different mechanisms in the ceiling.  For the side chapels i changed the on on the east side of the building to collect more morning light through the curved wall.  That chapel also uses a step system in the ceiling to collect more light.  The chapel on the west end of the building uses on tall tower and many thinner slots along the wall to collect light.
